Exciting news about Joe!

I know I am a horrible blogger, but I will try to work on it.

Some great news, my husband has lost 50lbs! :) I am so happy for him! He originally set this goal to lose 50lbs by the start of football season. But he was ahead of schedule, so he has set another one to lose another 50lbs by the start of football season.

Last weekend Joe and I went shopping @ JCPennies, this is where we normally buy Joe's shirts just because they do have a Big & Tall area (its small but they do have one) and plus they were having a sale! (I love sales!) So we got a size smaller in the shirts for Joe! (I know exciting but keep on reading there is more) We normally have to special order his jeans through King Size so, I started looking through the jeans that they had, I looked for the biggest size and had Joe try them on, he came out of the dressing room, and looked great he said they were not tight and he could probably go another size smaller! I am so happy for him that is 3 SIZES smaller than what he normally wore! :)

For me, I have dropped 4 pant sizes and 1-2 shirt sizes. My old pants are getting to big on me and the shirts are getting big on me also. We will probably need to buy more clothes in about 1-2 months which we are totally excited about. People at work are noticing which is awesome, I love to hear "Have you lost weight" and I am even more excited to tell them how much I have lost and hopes to get them motivated! :)

I will work on a post of what keeps me motivated and really what I am eating to try to help out any way I can!

As for the update on my weight loss, last week I lost 0.8lbs, so that makes my total 47.2lbs GONE FOREVER! and I am 18.9lbs away from my 2nd weight loss goal! :)
  • This past weekend was rough for me because I wanted to eat everything that I shouldn't eat. Its a good thing Joe was at the house because I probably would have. I just had the munchies REAL BAD! I hate feeling like that. But I did still lose weight so that is a GREAT THING! :)

So I am very excited to say I have lost 36.2 lbs! :)

My husband and I recently joined a gym two weeks ago. We are exercising a lot, I love the way it makes me feel, I love seeing what it changes in me. I am just beyond excited! :) My husband has started a blog go to Joseph's page and encourage him too! We defiantly need encouraging that's for sure! But I know We will continue to do this and its going to take a while to get the weight off but it did take a while to put the weight on originally!

My next weight loss goal is 29.9 lbs! I hope to concur that goal soon! But I need help! I need suggestions on what to do for a reward! I get massages every month, due to where I work, so that really isn't an option! I look forward to your suggestions! :) Thanks for hanging in there! :)

So they say you are addicted...

so I found this on, you can go here to read the whole article. :) enjoy!

10 warning signs that you may be addicted to Facebook

1. Facebook is your home page.

2. You update your status more than twice a day.

3. You have over 500 "friends" half of whom you've never actually met.

4. As soon as you step away from your computer you're on FB on your phone.

5. You are a FB stalker. You qualify as a FB stalker if you

a) click on someone's profile more than once a day even if they haven't messaged or tagged you in a photo.

b) have dragged and dropped more than 3 FB photos (not from your own profile)

c) actually go to a place mentioned on someones page in hopes of seeing them in real life...creepy!

6. You change your profile picture more than a 12-year=old girl.

7. You have checked your FB page while reading this article.

8. You clean up your "wall" so it looks like you spend less time on FB.

9. You are a member of more than 10 groups and respond to every event invitation "attending" even if you have no intention of going.

10. You change your relationship status just to mess with people.

Purse meet Suitcase... Suitcase meet Purse...

Well if you are my cousin you think my purse is a suitcase, however I beg to differ. See I have a BIG purse! I love big purses. There is so much you can do with a big purse! First I can put my lunch in it so I don't have to carry a separate bag, second I can put some bottle drinks in there for when I am shopping or heading to work. I can pretty much carry anything and everything in my purse (probably even a small animal/kid) I am joking about the kid but I probably could! :) So you are probably wondering where I am going with this post, because I kind of am... Over at JennyKate's Spot she was tagged with telling everyone about her purse. And well she tagged anyone that wanted to post about it to do so. So here I am, I tagged myself to tell you about my purse! You excited!?!?! :)

1) Post a picture of whatever bag you are carrying as of late. No, you cannot go up to your closet and pull out that cute little purse you used back before you had kids. I want to know what you carried today or the last time you left the house.

This is my purse.

I did have a different one up until last Saturday but it was getting on my nerves so I switched it back to this purse. I heart this purse. It fits my arm just perfect! :) I can pretty much put anything in it that I need, like when I am taking my Lean Cuisine to work for lunch and my water bottle and of course my snacks like oranges, apples or oatmeal *I think I have fit all of that in my purse at one time :)*

2) I want to know how much it cost☺ and this is not to judge. This is for entertainment purposes only. So spill it. And if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, I’d love to hear it.

My purse only cost $29.99 at Target. I normally do not spend that much on a purse; I do not think I have ever spent that much on a purse before. I normally wait until it goes on sale or wait until I have a coupon. I really do not like other people buying purses for me because I like to take several in my buggy and "try them on" while walking around the store. Ya know put it on my shoulder, to check the ease of it all! I take purse buying extremely SERIOUS! :)

The story behind this purse I have eyed this purse every time I went on my many shopping trips to Target. A Saturday before I went out of town for work. I looked everywhere for a purse, and I kind of found one I liked but it was a little to much for me, I think it should have been on sale and it wasn't so I passed it up. I shopped for like 3 hours for a purse, went to Gordmans, Khols, JC Penny's, and than finally went back to Target and I fell INLOVE again with this purse. So I bought it! My husband doesn't like it he thinks it looks like a hobo bag! But I heart it!

3) Show me your insides! (I added this)

This is what I currently have in my purse... coupon book, wallet, CC wallet, VS lotion, 2-09 calendars, alieve, medicine, 2 packs of gum, candy, anti bacterial x2, mirror, bills, and little brown carrier...

And the following contest are in the brown little carrier in my purse; aromatherapy headache relief (bath and body), NYC sheer red lipstick, CG Wetslicks AmazeMint (lip gloss), pencil, Neutrogena Moisture Shine Gloss, VS Lip Gloss, Mary Kay lip gloss, Cover Girl Outlast lip stick with shiny gloss, L’Oreal colour juice sheer juicy lip gloss, 2 blue pens, and L’Oreal Infallible Raisin Lip Gloss. Do you see a theme here?

4. Tag some chicks. And link back to this post so people know why the heck you’re showing everyone your purse.

So I am going to do like she did and say
TAG YOUR IT! If you read this consider yourself tagged! Its fun! And it’s an excuse to clean out your purse! HA!

Woo to the Hoo Wednesday

Woo to the Hoo Wednesday!

To find out more information please click on the picture to find out more information about the Woo to the Hoo Wednesday!

So I am posting a little late, its been a C-R-A-Z-Y week at work. My WOO goes to my old youth pastor that I had when I was in highschool. He sends out devotions every single day, also gives his own praise to God. It encourages me alot. I appreciate him taking time out of his day to send the devotions out to his "email list". He also encourages me to get right with God, to find a church my husband and I haven't found a home church, although we haven't been activly trying either. So we are right now looking for a home church. If you are reading this I ask that you pray for us, that God helps us find a home church. So Woo to the Hoo to my ex/old Youth Pastor!

The DAWGS "Hang Out"

My dog, Chloe, and my cousin's dog Holden, LOVE to go to the dog park. They beg us all of the time. Chloe wants me to call cousin Holden and ask if he wants to go to the "hang out" (I guess that is what they call it now days, crazy kids) This is the kids on the way to the "hang out"

Chloe looking pretty ready to go out and play with her other doggy friends...

Holden just can't wait to go, how much longer do we have to wait! (They always ask this the entire way to the park, they can barely hold their EXCITEMENT! However on the way home from the park is a different story HA!)

Chloe walking around seeing all of her friends...

Chloe running and playing...

Of course we need to pick up our poo's... (**TMI for the DOG** Funny thing about "poo's" my precious-precious-precious Chloe, has to go "POO" like 10X in an hour when we go to the park, she cracks me up, so when we walk around the park I always have around 10 poo-bags just in case she decides to have a "private" moment:)

In the winter, they shut the water off, so the owners bring in bottle water for the pups! Here are a lot of dogs just hanging out drinking some water, and starting to run off and play again, you can see short little Holden in there somewhere :)

And Holden... If you hear Holden's bark it is a "special" bark. He sounds like a SEAL, SERIOUSLY. Sometimes the children get this "wild hair" and start running around following each other all around the park, it is quite funny because usually when it happens almost all dogs join in, and they run EVERYWHERE. So this one time I had my camera and started videoing half way in to this little episode! You can hear Holden's bark he barks one time at the beginning and another time a few seconds in, LOL, his mama wanted him to stop barking because she didn't want him to embarrass himself! LOL!

Enjoy! (make sure you turn your volume up)

Driving Mrs Sara and Mr. J

Last weekend my cousin and I went down to pick up my nephew J to give my mom and dad a rest at watching him, because my niece was in the hospital. We had fun, we went to the park ya know all the fun stuff that kids want to do when they are with their Aunts/Uncle. But on the way back J wanted me to ride in the back seat with him to read him his dinosaurs sticker books!

How could I refuse this face?

Or even this face?

So you see, this trip is 1.5 hours and we got a little crazy with the "dino stickers"...

We call this one "DINO EYES"
(take one)

(take two)

And we call this one "DINO EARS"

But of course we had to take a picture of our wild crazy driver we are not exactly sure what she is drinking we hope it is POP and not POP spiked with something else... LOL JK!

Good news to post my niece is out of the hospital, she got out yesterday!!!

Riding the Electric Pony...

This past fall, my cousin Feather and I did a Citizen Police Academy Class and we had a chance to get tasered. So of course I wanted to try! I was the very first girl to go in my class! :) I am so brave!

What they do is it is actually a REAL taser gun and instead of the probes at the end they have two alligator clips which they attach the alligator clips to your clothes, one at the top like by your shoulder and the other by your bottom like shirt tail.

You need to have two spotters so just in case you fall they will help you. My cousin Feather was on my right side. I was SO nervous!

I could actually feel like the electricity going through those two clips it was so weird, and he only did it for 2 seconds although it felt like an eternity!

This video has been passed around several times and at work one of my bosses sent an email to her MIL and I am forever known to her as "Sara the girl that got Tasered!" LOL

So Enjoy! And make sure you Turn your Sound UP! :)

Yes Honey I actually COOKED!!!

So my husband is out of town 3 weeks out of a month and that means that I normally do not cook. Well for the past month and before that I really didn't cook that much. Well this month my husband and I are trying to be on a budget and that meant no more eating out! :) I know this is going to be really hard for us because for one thing he is used to eating out all of time due to being out of town.

So I am going to try different recipes and this is the place that I will post them and give my review!

Monday - Pasta Bake
  • 4 cups of pasta (any kind) (I used about 6 cups)
  • 1 lb of ground meat (I think I used ALMOST a lb, it was a little under)
  • 1 medium bell pepper chopped
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 cup of sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 big jar of meatless spaghetti sauce
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese (I used whatever cheese was on hand because i forgot to buy Mozzarella cheese)
Cook pasta according to package. Meanwhile in a large skillet cook the beef, onions, peppers, mushrooms until meat is no longer pink, drain meat and pasta, in the pasta bowl (or seperate bowl) mix together the pasta and meat mixture add spaghetti sauce, and mix in the egg, place in a 13 quart baking dish (well greased) top with cheese and place in an over @ 350 for 20-25 minutes, this makes a good 8-10 servings each, or 6 good servings!

Tuesday - Stir Fry (from Janice)
  • 1 box of frozen pop corn chicken ( or any other kind of chicken you want)
  • 1 regular bag of frozen broccoli (or any other veggie of your choice)
  • 1 regular size onion chopped
  • 1 cup of mushrooms
  • 1 clove or garlic
  • Spices - add any spices that you think would be good with this dish
  • EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
  • 4 servings of rice or more depending upon the size of your family

Cook Rice as directed on box. in a big frying pan or a pan with high sides, poor a little bit of EVOO in it, than add the frozen veggie of your choice. After almost done than add the frozen chicken. Than after a few minutes (after the chicken is no longer frozen) add onion/garlic/mushrooms. cook until all is soft and finished add seasonings all during this process and you are finished. (While cooking, the bottom of your "stir fry pot" will look like it is burned this is normal (i think or atleast this happend 2x with me cooking it) just make sure you add EVOO all during the cooking process, just makes it all cook easier!

After your stir fry is finished get a bowl, put rice down first and than add your stir fry mixture on top and WAA LAA!

Wednesday Meatloaf
This is actually a really good meatloaf recipe! I forgot which blog I stole the recipe from but man oh man it is YUMMIE!!!

  • 1 lb. Hamburger
  • 1 tsp. Salt1 egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup instant oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • Topping:
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp mustard
  • 2/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

Mix together all main ingredients and make into small loaves should make about 6 then pour topping mixture over loaves and bake for 1 hour at 350.

We also had homemade mashed potatoes and corn.

Thursday - Chicken Enchiladas
  • 1-1/2 cups (12 ounces) reduced-fat sour cream
  • 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) reduced-fat reduced-sodium condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chilies
  • 1 can (2-1/4 ounces) sliced ripe olives, drained (I didn't add olives because both my husband and I do not like olives)
  • 4 cups cubed cooked chicken breast (I just boiled 2 boneless skinless chicken breast and shredded it up and put it in the mixture)
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded reduced-fat Monterey Jack or Mexican cheese blend, divided
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese, divided
  • 12 fat-free flour tortillas (6 inches), warmed
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced

In a large bowl, combine the sour cream, soup, chilies and olives. Set aside 1-1/2 cups for topping. Add the chicken, 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese and 1/2 cup cheddar cheese to remaining soup mixture.
Spoon about 1/3 cup chicken mixture down the center of each tortilla; roll up tightly. Place seam side down in a 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish coated with cooking spray. Top with reserved soup mixture.
Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 35 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheeses; top with onions. Bake 10-15 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Yield: 6 servings.

I also made Mexican rice/corn to go with it

Friday - (we were bad we ate out :( )

Saturday - Fried Chicken
  • 2 Chicken breast (boneless)
  • 1.5 cups of flour - salt and pepper with a little of garlic salt mixed in
  • Egg wash - 2-3 eggs whisked with milk added
  • Dipped Chicken in egg wash than placed in flour and repeated this all together 2x
  • Fried chicken in about 1/4-1/2 inch oil preheated in a pan
  • Fry until chicken is cooked

My husband actually made this, it was YUMMIE!!! He did an excellent job!

Next time I will try to remember to take pictures before I actually cut into anything! :) I hope you all enjoy! :)
